Glad to know you’re making progress. I’m also making preparations and I want to say you are not alone there.

Academically, I think we should follow our teachers’ advice since they’re experienced and always helpful. Moreover, it would be a great idea to focus on your reviewing plans and make some timely adaptations if necessary. For me, what I am doing now is going through the test papers I have finished recently and learning by my mistakes. I find this helps a lot.

As for how to be emotionally ready, keeping believing in yourself, communicating more with parents, and having fun with your peers will help you relax yourself and get through all these.

W: It’s probably cheaper to live in Buxton because there’s not much to spend your money on.

There’s much to do in the city and the people are friendlier, too.

M: Well, the countryside isn’t as boring as you think, you know. And I don’t think me people are

friendlier here. City life just isn’t for me! 9.

M: What are you going to study, Anna?

W: I don’t know. My parents said they would pay for my studies if I majored in law. M: What will they do if you don’t study law?

W: They won’t give me any money, and I won’t be able to study. But I don’t want to major in

law. If I had wanted to major in law, I wouldn’t have studied so much biology, in high school, would I?

M: That’s a hard situation. I don’t know what I should study either. I want to go to art school.

But my father says that he wants me to work in his bank.

W: I thought you were going to be an artist, David. If you become a banker I’ll never speak to

you again!

M: But if I become a banker. I’ll have a lot of money. I’ll be able to retire early and become an

Good afternoon! As you know this is the course in beginning, Political Theory. We will meet each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 o’clock for the next twelve weeks. Each Monday I’ll give a lecture on the different ideas in political thoughts. On Wednesday, you’ll hand in a one-page paper on the topic and there is a group who’ll discuss the related problem. On Thursday, I’ll return your papers with suggestions for review. Over the weekend, you will rewrite your paper and hand it in the following Monday. I’ll grade only the rewritten paper. Keep this paper brief, because I’ll come to the classroom on Thursday and Friday afternoon to discuss your paper with you. Are there any questions?
