It may be hard to believe, but there are about 70 tribes(部落) living in the Amazon rainforest. These isolated people have no electricity, live in grass houses, catch animals and have little to contact with the outside world.

But now one of those tribes has made contact with modern-day society for the first time in 20 years, and it isn’t a good thing. The isolated tribe was driven into a small Brazil town near the Upper Envira River 300 kilometers away in Peru because too many trees had been cut down.

Cutting down trees and carrying the trees from a protected area most likely drove away the animals that the tribe depend on for food. In search of food, the tribe travelled east and eventually ended up far away from home in Brazil.
