一、教学内容分析
本篇短文从历史和地理的角度,简要介绍了新西兰国家的基本情况。新西兰是位于太平洋南部的一个美丽的国家,主要由两大岛屿组成。新西兰的历史只有150年。本文讲新西兰的地理特征,使学生对新西兰有简单地了解。是对本单元国家话题的拓展和延伸,同时为六单元的Fun Facts做好铺垫。 二、学情分析
五年级的学生已经学了四年的英语,具备一定的英语基础知识和基本能力,而且处在这个年龄段的学生可塑性强,对新生事物表现出极大的兴趣,又有较强的接受能力。对于学习国外文化知识这个话题很感兴趣,学习知识的热情高。 三、教学目标
1. 通过指导阅读,学生能够获得新西兰的国家的基本信息。 2. 基本读懂文章,并根据理解选择正确的信息。 3. 能够摘取文章的重要信息行进行简单复述。
4. 培养学生良好的学习习惯以及搜集信息、处理信息的能力。 四、教学准备:
多媒体课件,图片。 五、教学过程及意图 Step One: Warm-up
1. Enjoy a song: 新西兰广告歌.
【设计意图】播放一首和新西兰相关的歌曲,既创设了英语课堂氛围又对本课知识的学习进行了铺垫。 2. Free talk: Talk about the song .
【设计意图】自由谈论复习旧知,对新知的学习做铺垫。 Step Two: Presentation
