Activity: Fill out the form.

Intention: This activity let the Ss know how to fill out a form in the bank.

T: Now, let’s read the given information in 2B. Try to make a dialogue like 2A. Let’s work in pairs. Ss: OK.

(Ss make a new dialogue with their partners, using the information given in 2B.) T: I’ll invite some pairs to act out their dialogues in front of the class.

(T gives some advice on Ss’ pronunciation and grammar when they finish dialogues.)

Intention: The activity enables Ss to use the new information to make a new dialogue. This ability

is very important for Ss to communicate with others in English.

Model (Picture 1)

A: Good afternoon, what can I do for you?

B: Good afternoon! I have some money to deposit. Could you open an account for me? A: OK. What kind of account do you want?

B: A deposit account.

A: How much do you want to deposit? And for how long? B: Eight hundred and fifty dollars for one year. A: OK. This is your passbook of deposit account. B: Thank you very much. Bye. A: My pleasure. Good-bye. Model (Picture 2)

A: Good afternoon, what can I do for you?

B: Good afternoon! I have some money to deposit. Could you open an account for me? A: OK. What kind of account do you want? B: A current account.

A: How much do you want to deposit? B: Two hundred pounds .

Step 4 Further speaking

3A: Read and Tick

(T shows the three pictures in 3A on PPT.) T: Look. What are they doing? S1: Some are giving out leaflets. S2: Some are cleaning the restaurant. S3: One boy is delivering food.

T: Yes. They are making money for their lunch. Let’s read the passage in 3A and answer “Which

way of making money is not mentioned in the text?” (Ss read the passage and find out the answers.) Keys: Picture 2 and Picture 3 are not mentioned. 3B: Read and complete T: Next, let’s read the passage again and complete the dialogue in 3B.

(Ss discuss in groups and fill in the dialogue. Some of them present the result. T gives feedback.)

Then , I came up with the idea of drawing pictures to sell. We decided to give out leaflets for a company. I realized that It’s not easy to get money to pay for even a simple meal.

一次特别的经历
