The die and mould industry is an important industry
of the national economy. In recent years, mould is developing towards high quality, high efficient, low cost and short- period. In traditional mould design , mould designers was using 2D CAD Software &
Tools to proceed the preliminary design . However, 3D mould design already has been used extensively nowadays, which makes mould design approach to standardization and makes preliminary design quickly realize. In this article, it presents 3D mould design for juice-extractor part by Pro/E, and explains its design process in detail.
In this design, at first , it have analyzed the plastic part structure , material properties , use , and parameters , ascertained the mould layout form of One to Two cavities , and adopted the general distribution form of pin-point gate filling with cavity. In this mould design process, it has introduced in detail for side Core-Pulling mechanism , the design of parting surface, gating system and venting system, cooling system, ejection mechanism. Finally, through checking and production proofing for molding machine parameters , the mould structure is proved to be
reasonability .
