III. Reading Comprehension Section A

Directions: For each blank in the following passages there are four words or phrases marked A, B, C and D. Fill in each blank with the word or phrase that best fits the context.

The most effective way to connect with people is to look them into the eye. In some cultures, looking at people in eyes is said to show __41__ and straightforwardness; in others, however it is seen as challenging and rude. Our teeth can bring us chances to enjoy delicious food, with which we can chew hard food, raw food, meat and fruit and so on. Therefore, how to keep our teeth healthy is of importance.

To keep our teeth white and clean, brushing them is an easy way, which could remove the remains(残留物) in our teeth and keep the teeth clean. Therefore, knowing the right way to brush teeth is __48__.
